Want to get involved?
We are always seeking new volunteers to help us in our efforts! We
encourage YOU to get involved!
We especially need those with sewing, knitting or crocheting talents, but no
experience is necessary. We are happy to teach you the basics on how to
make our items.
We also can provide activities for school classes, Girl Scout troops or other
groups looking for a fun and easy service project!

Yarn-crafters and Sewers
We
always need more caring hands to create and assemble our items. We have pre-cut
packets for sewing, yarn donations for our knitters and those who crochet, and
patterns for preemies. Visit the 'Items' page for descriptions and pictures of
some of the items we produce and supply to the hospitals.
All skill levels are welcome - we have everyone from absolute beginners to
accomplished and experienced heirloom sewers and crafters participating. Our
patterns are simple, but can be embellished for those who are more creative! We
also have a variety of bootie patterns available for yarn crafters.
Beginners are encouraged to attend our meetings to get hands-on instruction from
our more experienced ladies, however meeting attendance is not required and most
volunteers choose to work on items at home in their spare time. For a
current list of meetings and other events, please see the 'Events' page.
I don't knit or sew, what can I do to get involved?
Even if you can’t sew and/or don't want to learn, we can use your help! In addition to making the items, we need volunteers who can assist us by:
- Cutting out fabric for our pre-cut packets
- Attending a meeting to assist with various projects (no previous skills required!)
- Donating fabric, threads, trims, yarn, socks and other materials, or
recruiting donations for us
Please note - All materials must be new and free from smoke or other odors. - Scheduling a ‘Doll Party’ with civic groups, Sunday School classes, Girl Scouts, etc
- Praying for the success of our chapter and for the families we serve
- Monetary Donations (donations are tax deductible) Donate online using the links to the left, or contact us for more information
Tax Deductible Donations
We are grateful for any monetary donations! All donations are tax
deductible and will be acknowledged with a letter of receipt. 100% of your
gift goes to purchase materials for the chapter - none
of our volunteers or coordinating staff receives any monetary compensation for
their efforts.
