From Sydney's mom and dad (Dec 6, 2006)
Just wanted to say "Thanks" for the Lovie Doll... the
kindness shown by organizations such as TOL is needed at such times as the
holidays. May God bless and prosper you this year.

Ashlyn - Donation Coordinator at one of our
hospitals
On behalf of the Intensive care Nursery, I wanted to thank
you for the donations received yesterday. The Lovie Dolls are a huge
hit....the Easter items are beautiful...Just last week we had a family
comment on the donations they received from TOL and said it helps so much to
be given such a special gift. They said their baby had worn several of
the vests for weeks because everything else was too big. The vests
became so comforting to the infant they placed them next to the baby in the
crib...they were going to keep them for the infant's memory box. As
you can see the donations you all make and spend time on really do make a
difference...

Deb, NICU Nurse at one of our hospitals
I want to take a moment to let you know how much we appreciate all of your
love and work to make our little ones more comfortable.
I also know it helps parents to see their babies on sweet blankets and not
just hospital linens. They often tell us this. Thanks again...

Elise, born 8 weeks premature in October 2005
I wanted to thank this organization for the beautiful blanket, hat, vest,
and booties that my daughter, Elise, received in the NPCU at CMC. What
a wonderful gift! It brought a smile to all of our faces and fit her
perfectly. What you all do is a wonderful way to let us, as parents,
know that there are people who know what we're going through.
I'm happy to say that Elise who was born at 32 weeks on Oct.14 is now home
and doing VERY well. For a 4 1/2 pounder, she sure has a lot of spunk!
Please pass along my sincere gratitude to all of those who participate in
Threads of Love.

Lena, born 12 weeks premature in July 2005
I got your note, thank you! I cannot believe she is really here! It's so
surreal! I am really nervous all the time! I have gotten some e-mails from Marleen and some of the other women in your chapter. Please tell them for us
that we appreciate them and their prayers more than they know! For such a
little baby, she sure has caught the attention and hearts of a pretty large
group of people! We still use the pink and purple blanket you sent us, it's
our favorite! Not too warm, not too cool, just perfect! We also kept the
isolette cover and we are going to cut the side panels off of it and make it
a blanket for her. It matches the colors in her room! Thank you again for
everything! Thank you for bringing some brightness and hope and fun into a
terrifying situation for us! - Staci |
